I just bought these.

The 80%20 Eliotte Ankle Boot Wedge in Charcoal. On trend with the whole Hunter-Chic thing, but much sexier than those fringe suede moccasin boots I see everywhere. A little Desert Boot for the ladies, perhaps? And at $45? Love it. Sorry, I bought the last pair.

Also, any of my beautiful lady friends a size 2? Go to Gomatta Girls and scoop up this adorable Charo Suspenders Mini Skirt by The Battalion. It's $15 in the Closeout section. Seriously.

Just got a call for work in February!

And I'm working with one of my favorite stylists. So what's the job, you ask? Well, it's Dunkin Donuts. Not exactly high fashion, you're thinking. True, but this particular stylist does a lot of great work on other campaigns that are very fashion forward. Maybe Dunkin Donuts needs a style re-vamp?

So I'm also doing a tiny bit of shameless pushing today. If you don't have a RueLaLa account, sign up here right now. Why? The "Final Sale" is happening as I type this. The great thing about clearance sales? Usually, all the really good, unique stuff is left after all the "normal people" have picked through the boring junk. Case in point? This Modern Amusement "Lou Lou" Black Silk Dress, on sale for a mere $69 (go look at the close up photos. This dress looks ten times more expensive). Take a couple of minutes to peruse the sale, and tell your friends.

For all of your high fashion survival needs...

...check this out. Yes, that's a Chanel boomerang. And Samurai armor.

I leave you today with this find on Refinery29: The T By Alexander Wang Athletic Thermal Onesie, $82. How can something inspired by infants be so darn sexy? And yes, I do realize how wrong that sounds.

Why the Hell should there be another Fashion Blog?

Hi! I'm a writer, who also happens to be an assistant stylist. I see the most fabulous and frightening sides of fashion on a day to day basis, and frankly, I'm a little bored/disgusted with what I've been seeing lately.

What we need is a Fashion Apocalypse of Biblical proportions. A monstrous, glittering tsunami or two mixed with some fiery wrath and a few resurrections of the accessorized undead.

I'll be posting some of my favorite exhibitions of fashionista fire and brimstone in the days to come, and I'll also be focused on extraordinary affordable fashion (because I'm not making the big bucks either, you know). I'll leave you now with one of my favorite current finds from shopbop: Rue B Peep Toe Pumps on Hidden Platform by Velvet Angels, a mere $147.50 (50% off the retail price of $295). A sassy take on a classic shoe, a little baroque and a little rock n' roll. Well done.
